You are the designer of your own destiny.
Welcome to the Watonga Middle & High School counseling webpage. School counseling is an important aspect of your child's educational setting. The counselor is in charge of encouraging your student in their academic endeavors, challenging them to set goals, and preparing them to manage their relationships.
We will focus on three main tenets throughout the year: academic, social-emotional, and career/college.
Watonga Schools will strive to provide opportunities for your student to grow individually and provide your student with skills to be successful in society.

I graduated from Southwestern Oklahoma State University with a Bachelors degree in Elementary Education in 1996. I have taught in Cyril Public Schools, Pioneer-Pleasant Vale Public Schools, and Cordell Public Schools. I have taught primarily in the elementary setting focusing on math and science, but have also taught Physical Education, coached basketball and track and high school and junior high school English. I began pursuing my Masters degree in School Counseling in 2017 from Southwestern Oklahoma State University.
I am married to a coach and teacher and have two children. We like to spend our vacations on the beach in the sand. My father, mother, sister, and brother all work in the education field in some form. I enjoy interacting with the students and helping them reach their educational goals, promote positive social growth, and navigate developmental stages in life.
